If during an election a voter’s eligibility to vote could not be determined the voter will be given an opportunity to vote a provisional ballot. If you exercised your right to vote a provisional ballot you were given written instructions on how to check as to whether the canvassing board accepted and counted your ballot or deemed the ballot invalid and the reason it was rejected. The instructions informed you that you have until 5:00 PM the second day after the election to present in writing evidence of your eligibility to vote. All information regarding provisional ballots shall be available no later than 30 days after the election.
