Vote by Mail
Who is eligible to vote by mail?
If you are registered as a Gulf County voter, you are entitled to vote by mail (F.S. 101.62). You must personally vote the ballot and sign the return certificate. You may ask for assistance if needed.
Requesting a Ballot.

If the ballot is requested to be mailed to an address other than one on file for the voter in the Supervisor of Elections Office, the request must be in writing, signed and on the Statewide Vote-By-Mail Request Form DS-DE160. Remember to include the following when requesting a ballot:
- The name of the voter for whom the ballot is requested.
- The voter’s address (residential and mailing).
- The voter’s date of birth.
- The voter’s Florida Driver’s License Number, Florida Identification Number of the last 4 digits of the voter’s Social Security Number.
- The voter’s signature (when requesting in writing).
Who may request a ballot?
Only the voter or a designated immediate family member or legal guardian of the voter may request a vote-by-mail ballot for the voter.
Immediate family members are defined as the voter’s spouse, parent, child, grandparent or sibling or the parent, child, grandparent, grandchild or sibling of the voter’s spouse.
Returning the ballot.
Ballots may be returned in the following was:
- By carrier such as the USPS, UPS or FedEx. Please allow at least 7 days for the ballot to reach our office.
- Hand delivery to the Supervisor of Elections Office during normal business ours.
- Using the secure ballot intake stations at early voting sites during early voting hours.
- Using the secure ballot intake station at the Supervisor of Elections Office during Early Voting hours, Election Day hours and normal business hours.
